Write On! Contest

CFUW-London invites children to submit original stories to "WRITE ON ! "

The contest is the 3rd Annual Story Contest co-sponsored by The London Free Press and invites children fifteen years and under to write creatively and submit their stories to us.

Send your entries with entry information as required in our ballot also by e-mail. All entries must be submitted with the information requested on the entry form ballot. Entries will be received during February.

Stories should not exceed the required number of words: Junior ages 8 and under, 400 maximum, Intermediate ages 9 to 11 and Senior ages 10 to 15 maximum 600. Only stories will be accepted.

Prizes:

Junior, Intermediate & Senior: First prize $100
Second prize $75

The prizes will be awarded at the CFUW-London Banquet in the spring of the year.

The emphasis is on creative writing. We ask children to use their imaginative skills. CFUW encourages literacy and with our major sponsor, The London Free Press, reaches out to children in London and Region to take on our challenge.

Published stories in a major newspaper can be a platform for the next generation to launch their academic skills.

We look forward to all the entries of and anticipate a new vision of our Canadian literary landscape from the youth of London and Region.
